Hey you can't own a location man!!
Hi,

Right don't laugh but I need to look at my brakes today as they need some grease on them to stop this dam shrill everytime I brake.

have never done this before so anyone got a step by step guide? Do I need to tke the front wheel of for instance?

Have you had the modified disc mounting spindles/washers fitted under warranty?

Mine's an 05 GS12 and has recently experianced a problem with a 'pulsing feeling' in the brakes, not unlike warped discs. The front bakes also squeal, all be it no worse than some other bikes I've owned.

I took the bike to my dealer (Pidcocks) and they said that whilst the above mentioned kit was developed to get rid of the squeal it would also cure the pulsing which affected some bikes.

Well, I picked my bike up yesterday, and, the squeal has gone completley. However the pulsing is still there (although 'dampened out' somewhat) so new discs have now been ordered as I suspect they are warped or out of tolerance.

This is bit coincidental that during the last week, I've also saterted getting the "warped disc" effect. I can't think what's changed to cause it and the discs don't look warped.

Under what circumstances do you get the effect? For me its medium braking effort and heavier.

It is most noticeable at 35ish mph on light to moderate braking. However it is noticeable at all speeds and braking pressures.
