Hi

had my 20TKM service done just over 12 months ago, have done 4500km since and bike has been standing in the garage for a couple of months now - service is according to the dates "overdue" - question is, does it need servicing, or can I wait now until I get to 30tkm?

May be a stupid question, just wondering if the "annual" service is a must or not? Bike is out of warranty, just wondering if this really is technically required or advised

Cheers

I tend to change brake fluid every 2 years so if it was me I would do that if its been 2 years since the last time.

before I bought the bike it had it's big 20k at the dealers - am not sure what is covered under this - would have assumed brake fluids though - otherwise no concerns about riding until the 30km is due?

No service is mandatory! You decide what you want and tell the dealer what you need done. In my view annual servicing is just a money spinner for the dealer.

Brake fluid is normally done at the "Annual Service" so it may not have been done at the last 20K service. How olds the bike and do you have the service history? It would only be the brake fluid I would bother about if it was 2 years old and leave everything else until you hit the 30K.
