Servo brakes without ABS

I have a 2003 R1150R for sale and I always assumed it had a servo as the brakes are very powerful and require very little effort compared to my 1100GS. It does not have ABS.
Somebody has suggested that all servo bikes have ABS. Is this the case? I don`t want to mislead anyone with my ad.

Is that right? ISTR that one of the benefits of buying my 1150SE rather than an ADV was that it included ABS as part of the SE package.

On the other hand I may have been naively belived the sales blather.

That's right but you can't have servo without abs, which was the question.

Servo Noise

When you apply the brakes with the ignition on do you get a mechanical whirring noise.
If you had a working servo you would hear it activate

Do you have ABS rings and sensors in both wheels? Ring is part 2 in front wheel.
Do you here the servo noice when braking at standstill with ignition on?
Have you not ever looked under the tank?

Yup cant have one without the other If its got servo then its got ABS (unless that bit is fcuked which is frequently the case with Servo ABS)

You can have ABS without Servo but lets not start that! Eh Tim?

Just looked at the pictures of your bike.
It doesn't have servo brakes and doesn't have abs.

And on the 2006 1150GSA SE (servo+ABS), the ABS can be deactivated from a switch located on the right handle. I don't know if it was an option on previous 1150GS bikes. Also it has the latest firmware that allows to deactivate the assist if the rear brakes are applied while the bike is stationary, such as at a light.

They all have the ABS deactivation button, including the 1100 models.
