Hiya,
05 1200,servos,abs,62k.
On my way to Scotland today got as far as Sandbach services on M6,whilst on m6 I had the red brake failure warning flashing, the brakes were working as normal so I carried on to the services to check the bike over.
When I stopped the rear servo was constantly whineing without operating the brake lever,( checked all the brake light switches, bulbs etc),the only way to stop it was turn the ignition off.
I had the same thing whilst running around town a couple of times in the past week, it was cured by turning ignition on and off.
Anyway I took the tank off to get access to the pump etc, turned ignition on and the servo is whineing away, took out the 2 small plugs and it continued, pulled out the main plug into abs pump and put it back in and the servo stopped whineing, the front servo has stopped working now as well though.
So I am left with residual braking so decide to ride back home to South Wales and the speedo has stopped working as well!
I have searched the forums and it all points to the abs pump going tits up,although nobody mentioned the syptom with the speedo.
Im pissed right off as this would have been the only oppertunity I had to have a big ride this year and the weather in Jockland looked proper.
I have looked for some pointers to removing the abs and loads for the 1150 but can't find anything for the 1200?
Any thoughts from the GS MASSIVE?
