There is a huge amount of bollocks talked about the virtues or lack thereof in ABS and servo brakes.
As you can see from my sig, I've got a servo'd ABS adventure. Best brakes i've had on a bike, period. Better than Aprilia Futura (brembo goldline), better than Suzuki GSX14 (6pot tokico). This is probably as much to do with the telelever as anything but still.
When I bought the bike it (servo) wasn't even a consideration, I dont ride this bike any differently than I did my previous bikes, ABS or not, servo or not. So I dont see how your going to unlearn all these skills
Same goes for linked brakes. Your back brake doesnt effect the front, so whats the problem, I see no difference whatsoever when riding.
Also, I dont care what anyone says about how clever their respective skills are as a rider. If you have a real emergency, ABS can be a life saver. I would rather be with it, than without, my only caveat is that if I could have ABS without servo, that would be my preference, if only to get rid of the servo whine and to free up space under the tank.
I think the whole issue is 20% merit and 80% bullshit and scare mongering. I would be interested in hearing a BMW response to the 20% and if any of this stuff acheives that, then its welcomed.
