Servosectomy-what I learnt.

The 1st thing I learnt is don't work on yr bike when you have man flu,everything I touched turned to shit, brake fluid fucking everywhere lol.

My advice is that its better to buy the specific parts from the non abs bike ie the brake pipe for the rear master cylinder to hose connection above the swing arm pivot and the distribution piece for the front lines near the top yoke,

I tried to use one of the old lines for the rear cutting it down, but couldnt flare it, its to hard, fucked about with it for ages even heated it up but no chance.

You can use the existing distribution piece for the front, cut the tabs off bolt on to get a suitable angle, but for me its not quite right so I just got the non abs one

I took the electrics of the abs pump and sealed them with a plate riveted on and sealed with a hot glue gun and wrapped it in self amalgamating tape, I used the bracket from the right sde of the pump and welded 2 uprights on it for the electrics to sit against, some double sided tape and foam strip for it to sit on and also a couple of cable ties for good measure.

Opened up the clocks and painted over the Led's, make sure that all the square of the led is covered to stop it showing through.

Its comforting not having to worry about if the servos have gone onto "residual" mode without knowing, the one finger super strong action is gone but the action is fine so far.:thumby:
 
If you have pipe faring tools why not make new copper alloy pipes? Alternatively, use braided hose end to end.

My 1200 really stops but I often find myself with fingers too far towards the hinge end. Not using the best leverage is usually fine but panic stops aren't so good. I have adjustable levers but they could ideally be closer to the bar so I can get my hands nearer the other end.
