Set fair Friday - ride west?

The barometer suggests Friday will be a belter - 20'c and sunny. Last chance 2010 for a "summer's" ride.

I'm thinking - Cardiff -> Rhyader -> Elan valley -> mountain road to Aber & back via LLan Dewi & the gold mine.

Anyone interested in joining?

I'll be giving the Rt its turn out so no gravel tracks this time.

Yes I will be up for a run out as the sun will be a shining, it would be rude not to wouldn't it? How about we meet at the roundabout where the A470 crosses the A465 at Merthyr just prior to the Llwyn Onn reservoirs?
What time do you suggest?

Sorry Simon can't make it but.........................................................Doing a run on sat earlt start at 0800, Aber-g, Talgarth, Painscastle, Builth, Crossgates, Newtown, Llanidloes, Staylittle, Machynlleth, Nant y Moch res, Devils Bridge, Elan, Newbribge, Garth, Upper Chapel and back to tea and stickies about 300 miles
Can't wait , full of cobwebs and the beast needs a handful of beans

Funny how I never get the "need" to drive a car over a certain road, but the desire develops over time to go visit a series of known bends on the bike! This is probably the last fine & warm weekend of the year.

Any phots, leaving Sat at 0830 sharp, no wobblers just good clean fun and a smooth throttle--officer only two A roads 479 to Talgarth and the beut 483 to Newtown, otherwise it will be hedge hugging all the way
