Setting tappets with "Clickadjust"

Ah, there will be a slight problem with using this on a GS :
that Click Adjust link said:
Valve clearance is easy to adjust on all push rod engines or OHC engines with top adjustment using a screwdriver slot and locknut.
.
Last time I adjusted mine it needed an allen key to turn the adjuster; otherwise, sounds like a simple solution.

The principle is quite simple, nip up the gap then back off the adjuster by a fixed fraction of a turn. If the thread of the adjuster is cut to 1.0mm per turn then backing off 1/4 turn will give a 0.25mm gap. Backing it off by 54 degrees = 0.15mm gap (inlet) and by 108 degrees = 0.3 (exhaust), not so easy to measure though.

If the thread is cut to 1.5mm per turn then 1/10 turn (36 degrees) = 0.15mm and 2/10 (72 degrees) = 0.3mm ...

Feeler gauges might be easier though :-)
