Setting up a Spanish Mac keyboard on my new Mac mini ? Keys doing the wring stuff! - ¡SORTED!

So, I-m trying to set up my new (2023) Mac mini running Ventura 12.5 with a Mac keyboard that I-ve ben using for years with my Spanish bight MacBooks and has the same keyboards that they have. I-ve selected Spanish ES through the keyboard section on the Preferences but the symbols on the alt menu are all wrong. also some of the letter keys, e.g. the c cedilla, which I use often. I can-t even type an email address as there-s no aroma, as they call it here.

As you can see from my typing it0s almost impossible!

Any ideas_

Have you selected it, or just enabled it (you can have multiple)?

Hi, I've just sorted it! I set the input language to Spanish thinking oh well all the spell check etc. would be in Spanish but no it's OK!

So select Spanish keyboard but then select Spanish language - counterintuitive but logical once you get it!
