Once again massive thanks to Dave G for the lend of his GSA and here’s the latest item we’ve come up with.

Final finish is satin black powder coat, there’s are just prototypes, but it’s enough to show and ask for constructive feedback.

Made from 2mm SS and TOTALLY over engineered :)

Based on my earlier design but in this case Mick has done (IMHO) a superb job if updating the guards for the new 1250.

We do intend to make a vid where we are throwing house bricks at it (not whilst fitted to the bike Dave!) as, believe me, it’ll stand it - it’s solid and there’s nothing short of a cruise missile that will get through the front guard to break a painfully expensive LED spot.

We’ve gone for heavy duty here and hopefully got that with bells on :) and made no compromise with cost to manufacture - we’ll leave that for others.

Any constructive feedback muchly appreciated!

They look really cool. Any chance of you doing a set for the Denali D4’s?

I’m sure there is once we’ve got this and the other two new products for the GSA finalised and on our retail site.

Mark, they look very good. Price for a pair? And as much as I like your products, can we have BMW R1250GS Adventure or BMW F850GS Adventure or BMW Adventure instead of the cymarkbikeparts text?

Yes of course - the reason we haven’t is that we’ve been told by ‘professionals’ to brand our stuff but IMHO I’ll always do what the lads (i.e. us lot) prefer.

As yet price unknown as I’ve not put one thought to it (never do as it can produce cheaper stuff)

Can you put BMW on them without some agreement from BMW? you don't want to be landing yourself in it.. sure BMW as a trademark will be protected??..

Yes it will be fella but I’m sure ‘R1250GSA’ won’t get me hung

I really would like to add a constructive comment. But its hard. Despite all the extrovertness of bikes and appealing add-ons, I sense there is a nasty taboo surrounding our gs-ish need to ruggedize things that are already rugged. We carry the extra weight into the woods. In the dark.

You could also make a special edition CNUT for some of the barstools. :D

I totally agree - the guys who take their bikes ‘proper’ off-road don’t need the additional and possibly unnecessary weight on an already ‘rugged round the world’ bike (some may disagree with you there.....).

There is, however, a genuine need for us all (where applicable) to personalise our bikes - W/Lich have made a very successful business at it.

So yes, of course, you have a very valid and fair point (thanks) but it’s good (and lucky) for me that there remains good business to be had with peeps who wish to pay hard earned cash for very well made (and over engineered) gear with 24/7 service where they can ring up and speak to the person who actually made it.

In the meantime I’ll keep up the gym to help me be able to lift a bike that’s doubled its weight in bling :)

Ride safe fella.

More seriously Mark can you have a look if these will fit the lights on a LC 1200 from 2016/2017 etc as the new NANO lights on the 1250 are a tad different, but these may fit, if they do happy days, but better to check first.

Izzat a ‘double negative’ delboy?

Im going to fit, or have fitted, havent made up my mind yet, the Nano lights Mark, however my crash bars dont have brackets to hang them from. So on the advice of a member on here i purchased the SS kit from Wunderlich so i can fit them to my Givi upper bars.

Yes of course, I’ve got the spot lights from the year you mention (the previous guards fit) and I am very much sure (99% sure) that the new guards will fit - I can’t check to be 100% until the first offs are back from the powder coaters tho.
