I have just got rid of a scooter ( I know, I know!) which was the cheapest option to getting around this god awful town ( London). Previously I have owned a 900 monstor and various honda cb350/500 type bikes, I also flirted with an XT 600. My mate is selling his 1999 r1150 gs and I want it. Am I mad?

I am 5 foot 9. When I took it for a short blast it seemed massive. Does that wear off?

I'm 5'6" and my 1100 is no prob. They quickly become the norm and all other bikes become tiny insubstantial toys. Every time I pull mine out of the lockup I think "Look how much bike I have!"
