It's the first of a series called REHAB. It follows the lives of several "celebrities" who are battling drink, drugs and other addictions. It's a bit Americanised in the (in)sincerity department but it was no holes barred when it came to gettin' to the root of Les McKeown's problems (no puns intended) and he quickly became (IMO) a really likeable guy.
The story here is that the ex-singer from the Bay City Rollers was raped when he was 17. As a result of this, he's had periodic gay affairs throughout his married life. His Japanese wife (24 years married) knew nothing at all about this until he confessed all during the filming of this programme. She was deeply upset and humiliated.
She didn't know that he used to be in the Bay City Rollers.
Aplogies to Frankie Boyle for the theft o' his joke
