Sharing Mapsource mapping

I've an old Streetpilot III and have Mapsource City Navigator V8 and V9 on my laptop.

I've seen on ebay a 2610 for sale with only UK mapping.
Can I share my Europe mapping between two units and do I need a second unlock code for the 2610 ?

You can share the mapping, but you will need another unlock code for the 2610

As far as I'm aware Garmin only release/sell unlock codes for current mapping.

you used to be able to get a free second unlock code from garmin on earlier product. i got one for v8.

I think they stopped that with either v9 or the 2008 product, not sure if you can still get it on mapping older than that though.

Hi

I am 99% sure that the unlock code is for the mapping not the unit I have put the mapping from one unit to another, on the old version but is does say on the 2010 version thta it is only for one unit, but ill give it a try.
