Anyone own a series 2 or one of the new 3's?

I really fancy one before summer arrives, think it's a great compromise between an open face and a full, the lockable flip and being able to keep the visor down for a bit of wind protection seems like a great idea.

I can see me doing my Highlands tour with one, just wondered if anyone had any experience of them?

Cheers!

Evoline 2. It was the only open face that fit. Good helmet albeit a bit heavy compared to my Arai. Flip mechanism works well. No pin lock available so you do have to anti-fog every now and then.

I have had one for a year now. I bought it for a tour of Scotland last easter and found it very comfy in open face mode. Its not very good with the visor down, I found it misted up and was noisy. After a few weeks of use I developed a stiff neck and shoulder ache. I went back to using my Shoei and the pains vanished. I think the weight of the flip front resting on the rear of the helmet (open face mode) caused my head to tilt back. I also hunched up a bit to get my face behind the F800 screen.
Its a well thought out helmet but I find it far too heavy and no longer use it.

Evo 2

Hi
I've had the Evo 2 for about a year, and have done around 22k with it. It's noiser on motorways than most other full-face helmets I've had, but I think the flip-over chinbar is great and I haven't noticed it feels heavy (either as full or open face); most of my riding's been on a 1150 GS / GSA, although I've also done about 3,000 on a Fireblade.

I tend to use it in open face mode as much as possible - full face is used mainly when I'm on a motorway, when it's raining, when it's really cold, or if I'm riding at pace on the twisties.

The sun visor is good too, although my preference would be for it to have a darker tint (I haven't bothered to find out if I can get a darker replacement)

Wouldn't be an XL by any chance would it?

I've got an Evoline 2, brilliant design let down by being a very noisy helmet particularly on motorways/dual carriageways ,but that is solved with ear plugs.
This is my second helmet after the first one when moving the chin bar back became very tight and came off its rails, jammed solid and put a deep gouge in the helmet, the shop ( CMS Exeter ) changed it straight away.
No such problems with this one which I have had for 12 months now.
Like I said, if you are considering an Evoline 2/3 you will need to wear ear plus coz they aint the quietest of things!
