Kent - the nice bit
I bought a Shark Evoline 2 Lumi (which glows in the dark) for £250 at the MCN show a couple of weeks back.

I can't recommend this helmet highly enough! Its plush, comfortable and adaptable (from full face to a legal jet). Its ideal if your journey is a mix of motorway and city commute.

Its best illustrated here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sX7SFyw7-Q

Leave it with you.:thumb

Do you find the sun visor is big enough to cover your entire field of vision, or is it slightly too short?

I wonder if this could tempt me to dispose of my C3 and its inherrent undocumented visor features....(automagic shutting and leaking in rain...)

ive got the evo mk1 ,the sun shade is slightly short on that but thr mk2 has a longer shade to address this

Granted it doesn't cover your entire view - but that doesn't bother me, so the visor is just about long enough I suppose. What I like is that it is not too darker a tint - so its still good to use on overcast days.

BTW, the visor doesn't leak a drop of water (unlike my Nolan N102) and the visor movement is smooth - not notched like most others.

Have you been in proper rain yet ? I've got a series 2 and while I really like it, mine is terrible for water on the inside of the visor unless you are moving above 40-50. Also mists pretty badly which is surprising given how much air zooms up under the chinbar as it's so far away from you, certainly not my first choice for wet weather riding, still I suppose you can't have it all ways.

Sun visor comes down plenty far enough infact it's almost making contact with my face.

I've found mine great for touring on the Continent. Used to do it in an Arai TourX, but found in the High Mountain passes the Shark keeps me reasonably warm, then when I hit the Hot Plains, being able to convert it to a Jet Style one helps me to keep Cool.I found the Sun Visor OK,but no more. It is not allowed to have more of a tint than it has by law. I wear Reactolite Glasses anyway so with both of them I don't squint.

It's funny how people have different experiences of the same kit. I guess part of my water issue must be my head position in relation to my screen then ( 6'1" 1150GSA ). Certainly comfy enough not as quiet as my Shoei but too bad and I find the dark visor plenty dark enough to allow me to put in contacts and not wear my reactolite glasses ( which didn't work in my Shoei with the visor down anyway cause it's got a UV visor ).

As I say once moving over 40ish the visor clears and is fine but below that it's very poor to be honest. Perhaps I'll try with the gsa's screen off to see if there any change....

But they're heavy, though!!

Odd feeling & weighty when turning or tilting.

Schuberth J1 for me now..

you see again different experiences, :) I found it to "feel" no heavier than my Shoei despite it being over half a kilo heavier  , and I feel it is very well balanced open or closed, go figure eh ?

+1
I love this helmet and put up with the bad points such as they are, but I agree, in the rain it does mist up unless you leave it cracked open a bit and then the rain comes down the inside of the visor, have to say it was in very heavy rain.

I had one and the visor ust to jam closed. Had a moment in traffic and needet to open it in a hurry had to force up the chin bar. JJH
