Out for a spin yesterday on the GSA and it wouldnt change down from 4th or 5th a few times. had to pull over and juggle clutch and pedal for a fair while to get it back to neutral.

It felt like whatever spring causes the pedal to re-centre wasnt doing its job.

Seemed to cure itself after a while but it was irritating. Any ideas?

Had that a couple of times on mine. First time it was just the gear linkages needed greasing, second time Vines replaced the brushes on it (waranttee)

There is a bush in the gear linkage that swells up (or so my dealer tells me). All you have to do is get the bush out, clean it up and then ream/drill/file it out slightly. So far it has happened twice with my bike but has happily coincided with a service so it wasn't a problem getting the dealer to sort it.

If you find it happens again while you are on the road and you can't change down, put the very slightest upwards pressure on the gear lever and then it will change down beautifully.
