Sorry guys, I couldn't find anywhere else on the forum to put this.

It looks like my g/f and I will have to downsize to a smaller rental property quite soon, so we won't have a garage to keep both bikes warm and dry.

Can anyone reccomend a big ****-off shed, specialist bike store unit, or something else we can protect the bikes with?

Budget is definitely a factor, but so is security.

We have a ground anchor, alarms, etc, so they might have to relocated too.

cheers.

I have one of these;

Great piece of kit, delivered anywhere in the UK and comes with everything. They are pricey but you don't need a concrete base and the surface does not need to be perfectly flat. They are nearly impossible to get into without an angle grinder. I have the 300 which has enough space for the 1150 and my neighbours Lambretta but it is a quite tight tight. The doorway swings up and inside rather than opening out.

I always wonder how the people in the advert pictures get out of their sheds without climbing over their bikes. I made sure mine would be big enough to be able to get passed the side of the bike. Having it "over sized" makes it much easier to use.

Hi, Raginmund, 3 years ago, I need to cut down my expenses so I also need to move to a smaller house with a backyard. So to keep my bike safe, I ordered a metal bike shed online. I don't any skills for DIY so I think the cheapest way is to buy. You can check it out http://whatshed.co.uk/cheap-metal-sheds/ I can say Having a security for my bike gave me a peace of mind. I got the Woodvale 6x5 fit for my bike. I'm still using it up to now, though there was a leak few months ago because of this British weather. But it was all good after a little fix. I'll still recommend it.

Sorry for bringing this thread back. I'm just using the search tab and I overlooked the date this was posted. Wow, this was 2010. My bad. I hope everything is ok now Ragimund!

Stayed couple of weeks ago at the buccleuch arms hotel in Moffat they had these individual garages for bikes. Loads of room and well built.
