Have got myself a bit of sheepskin for a blat to the Pyrenees on Fri...

How do you folks fix it to the saddle? Elastic bands? Just sit on it?

I have used a sheepskin for several trip to the Alps, I used some shock cord.
I had three loops and hooked one around seat at rear and two round the front panels below tank. I did a better job this year, I fitted it so I could just loop it on and off. Last year I put under the seat which made it a pain if I wanted to remove it overnight.

You get some strange looks but its well worth the bother.

When wife got hers, I used gaffer tape as a tempoary fix.............:augie:D:D

few month later she stitched some elastic to it.....:thumb

I got one from Lambsland, cut it to shape, bought some elasticated webbing (about one and half inches wide) cut 2 lengths and the wife sowed them to the front and the rear of the sheepskin, fits like a glove.
Hope this helps.

2 " wide elastic
2" wide velcro - both types
sew 2 strips of the velcro ( fluffy side ) to underside of sheepy 6 inch from front and 6 inch from back
make 2 loops with half elastic half ( hooked ) velcro
put yer hoops around front and back seats
pull it off and use it as a pillow or shake any water off id it gets wet while parked up
when you dont use it remove the hoops and hang them up with the sheepy
mine fits all me bikes this way :thumb2

From most yacht chandlers, about a fiver, then add bungees :thumb2

Stitch on elasticated webbing with floss then wrap under seat before putting seat in place... or bungee.... also makes a good way to carry a few bungee cords!

Tie its legs to the handlebars and hold on!

I've seen that picture before! When I was doing my cbt I was told to keep looking ahead and stop looking at the tank. I said I was looking ahead almost constantly. Later on in the day the instructor stuck that to the tank and said that was to make sure I looked up.

Several months later I was having trouble breathing and was sent for chest xrays, where they realised I'd got a previously undiagnosed spinal curvature decreasing the space in my rib cage, and giving my head a forward tilt.
