Sheepskin seat cover

I found an Airhawk much better for longer days than sheepskin which tends to flatten fairly quickly with my 16 stone sat on top of it.

Yes. I have used a fitted Merino sheepskin for several years. Across Europe , Spain and Norway. I have one of our fellow member's wife's excellent manufactured seat cover for when it rains when parked !

I think so. :thumb
Bear in mind though it isn't really for padding, though it does add a smidgin extra, it's to provide an insulating layer between your arse and the seat. I have one that gets used anytime I'm considering more than a couple of days in the saddle.

YES

I wouldn't go to Le Mans without mine :D If I'm doing any long days, i.e. more than 4 hours in the saddle I always put it on. Keeps you cooler in the summer and cosier in the winter.
I bought mine from Alaskan sheepskins, years ago, and it's still fine.

I never really noticed much difference, and they are particularly horrible when they get wet.

I tried an air hawk too with the same result.
However, I do accept that my derrière is particularly svelte and pert so your mileage may vary.

In the end I had to concede that the Stock one piece gel seat on my 1150 is about as comfortable as a motorcycle seat gets.

Yep, they really work. My airhawk failed some years ago in Canada so I bought a sheepskin cover which was much more comfy in my opinion.

They are a real boon is in hot weather I reckon as they seem to wick away the sweat from your nether regions:eek

Hubby swears by his, it was on his bike when he bought it and it's been there ever since - the seat otherwise is just like a piece of board (F650GS 800 twin).

When we're out, it tends to be longer days and it's never let him down.

Ive got a bit of furry sheepskin in my garage just the right size I was going to use for impending ron butt. How do they get on with rain ? (not that we see it in the UK of course) :D

Yes, rode down to Lemans with one - but it was torrential rain, so I took it off once there, for the rest of the weekend.

+1 for " more than a couple of days in the saddle. ". Works a treat in summer in Biarritz as well. Short hops don't get you burned and they do wick away sweat and keep you cooller. If it rains, it rains off the skin. No need for yet another cover to cover a cover cover...or a sheep with an umbrella....

Alaskan leather for rider & pillion since 2003 , bloody brill. Having said that I haven't used it since getting the Guzzi ..not sure it would go well with it .....but you've now got me thinking that I should drag it out of the cupboard.

pop round to relatives house & cut a chunk out of their memory foam mattress & stitch it in the arse of your trousers.:eek
you may have a fatter arse but it will be a comfy one oh & your relatives will probably move.
