Sheer Audacity !!

There's something really charming about Guzzis. I've always loved their engine, so much better looking than the boxer.
And an engine that's not changed every 6 months until the warranty runs out!!

Do you ever stop with the anti BMW shit? It's getting really boring now.

+1 ....Martin you loved to tell the Beemer owners to fleck off on your AT thread often spouting that this is " a thread about The Africa Twin" , I thought this was a thread about your new Guzzi so why bring Beemers into it :blast

So why did you fall out of love with the AT? Is it just the single status and adequate disposable prompting enjoyment of variety? :)

It does make me wonder too, like a one pilot crusade to justify his anti-BMW purchases

On a GS forum, like he's shouting in a tin can and is a bit crazy

I've owned many BMWs. Just unlikely to buy a new one again unless they improve build quality and produce something interesting that isn't designed for midgets

You do know that the seat height on your new machine is 740mm ?
:proff

Didn't fall out of love with the AT.
Was planning on going part time at work so wanted to ship AT to USA and ride TAT etc but can't get part time .
I've got new KTM Super Adv 1290R coming early 2017 and that will be the default bike for trips next year .

I took AT up to Hebrides and all over Europe in 2016 so I did use it.

But I like changing bikes about and can afford to a bit.

Did over 12000 miles in 7 weeks over summer 2016 on various bikes so I do use them .

Might regret selling the AT. Loved the DCT. Can always buy another .

Same here!

It's not my cup of tea Arsey, but I hope you enjoy it ... :thumb2

Not sure it's mine !!! But change is as good as a rest and it'll offset the 1290R nicely

I normally hate those types of bikes but that looks really nice. I like the flat bars on it. I think I have a Guzzi itching but not the means to scratch. Hope you enjoy it. Out of interest what's the seat height like for big blokes?

I'd just like to applaud your one man crusade to support the motorcycle industry.

Bravo sir!

:beerjug:

looking forward to what you think of it.

I'm riding this at the minute. Tempted to buy a new cali but have yet to find anybody who has ridden one of the new ones.

Liking it so far.Only done 100 miles. The overall quality of the components and the finish is gorgeous.
Comfy seat, slightly stretched out riding position which I can feel in the middle of my back, but that's more my back than the bike !!
It handles very nicely for a big lump and the motor is SO smooth.Probably the smoothest V twin I've ridden, and that's quite a few !
It'll pull in any gear and is quite happy at 30 mph in 6th.
Needs zilch doing to it,except I'm going to add the heated grips as it comes with the switch gear and loom ready to go.

Looking forward to nicking the keys for your AT off Darren when he gets it and seeing what all the fuss is about :augie:P

Fill your boots. It's been there a week !!

Reaching for the bars with a foot forward riding position can cause back ache for some.
To sort this out on my Harley (same seating position) I fitted bars with a greater pull back that reduced the reach.
However, it would be an easier job to fit risers but I fancied different bars.

Nice bike.:thumb2 I bet touring on it would be a blast.
