Shell I tighten cylinder head bolts on R1150gs 2001 / 45K miles / no service history?

Hello ,

Just checked valve clearance and found valves VERY tight, endflow tight as well. I will attempt endflow and valve clearance adjustment tomorrow - God help !

QUESTION: Shell i tighten cylinder head bolts as well?

Why?

That should have been dealt with at the 600m/1000k service.

If not, loosen one nut, tighten to 20 Nm and 180 degree and then the other 3, in a x-cross pattern.
Finally the 10mm hex bolt, loosen and tighten with 40 Nm.

All other bolts are M6, loosen and tighten with 7-9 Nm.
