Fitted unused second hand Motad Venom silencers to my Tiger 900 today. Both standard silencers had rotted through on the inside edges which was surprising considering the condition of the rest of the bike. It sounds luverly
The holed cans were spotted by my mechanic when he had the bike in for a complete service and check over (Paul Nobbs Motorcycles, Sutton, near Ely. Top bloke and Triumph trained). The valves were way out and Paul reckoned that whoever did the valves last got the gaps for the inlets and exhausts mixed up
It still ran pretty well, but did have a tendancy to stall occasionally. It is perfect now and feels like a new engine.
Also fitted Renthal Dakar High bars with Rox risers as the standard bars are a bit weird. I have also fitted dog-leg levers. The ergos are now identical to my GS and spot on.
Also fitted a Camel Toe that I picked up cheap on ebay. It was meant for a KTM (obvious when you see it!) but fitted OK with a bit of modification. These bikes lean a hell of a lot on the stand so this reduces the angle slightly and will stop it disappearing into tarmac in the Summer.
I have always loved these engines and I am very pleased with how this is developing. If anubody knows where there are some Givi pannier fittings for one of these please let me know!
