has anyone used a steel shiping container as a garage:confused:
as the price i have been quoted i will be cheper to use one as a garage than replacing my current garage with a concret one.
and its more secure :D

Not used them as a garage, but have used them for storage, cheap at £400 for a 20ft.

Extremely secure, but in the summer they're like ovens.

:)

Yup..

Yes.. but at work.. not at home..

They are tough.. but be careful..
We are lucky as most of the time we get then into places as temporary structures. some areas though wont allow them under planning laws..

Best to enquire.. descretely..

Infact, saw a program the other day where they were using them to build flats ontop of the already standing buildings..

A mate has one, with a breeze block exterior 'shell' to avoid upsetting the neighbours excessively.
They are cheapish to buy,but factor in the transportation cost to your house, and the price of a crane to hoist it into place.

Put some good ventilation in not only sauna in the summer they are v cold in winter and sweat like hell , rivers of condisention also double check any electrical bits, all that steel --live wire--
