Trying to swap my spring on my rear Ohlins, only my spring compressors are to big to fit becuase of the limited space between the shock body and the spring, anyone know where I can get the right tool for the job ?

harris used to sell the right tool. £200 odd.
If you can compress the spring maybe some heavy duty tie wraps will do the job?

I was thinking of making a plate to fit the top of the shock, like on the Harris set up and using my compressors which can grab the bottom of the spring.

Seen them whilst searching the web,their still to big, theres only a 3mm gap between the spring and shock body.
Ive devised a plan using the compressors I have and a big lump of alloy, that needs a spin in my mates lathe. I'll post results and pics if it works.

I investigated the various spring compressors at my local car accessory shops. I found a pair of Draper brand which did the job after some "remodelling" with an angle-grinder.
