Shoei X-11/X-spirit vs. Schuberth R1

I've got an x-11, which I'm pretty sure is the same as the X-spirit on your side of the pond. Awesome helmet, but, it's time to think about replacing. I'd like to find a helmet that is quieter, and , the internal sun shade is appealing.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with both helmets and can compare the two? How does fit compare?

Yes, great helmet.
Had an S1 Pro and honestly can't tell the difference.

Save your money and buy the R1

R1 is quiet, comfy and sun visor is great

I Use my R1 daily, great lid, would not hesitate to get another when the time comes for replacement.

have an S1 pro and it great - sunvisor is excellent also, could do with being a bit darker tho

Is there any chance someone could try on the r1 and x spirit side by side? I can't try it before buying. I wear a med x-11. Should I order a med r1? I'm unsure because my friends large is perfect. I can't get a med s1 on my head, but, I don't know if r1 fits like the s1!! I know that's asking slot, but, worth a try?!!!

My R1 has just landed! Now, I'd like to fit some speakers. I see that there seems to be a place for them, and, the manual states that it is ready for Bluesonic. I got the cheek pads out, thinking I could slide some speakers between the lining and the styrene. It's all glued in tight.

Any thoughts on fitting some speakers to an R1?
