Hi
Does anyone have recommendations for a set of short adjustable levers for a 09 GSA? So far I’ve seen the ones below. The Titax levers look good and are about what I was expecting to pay but I can only find an 06-08 version.

  • Wunderlich VarioLever, £99 each
  • Pazzo Racing Motorcycle Brake & Clutch Levers, £149.99 set
  • Titax Clutch Brake Lever Set, £119.99 set – I can only see 2006-08 listed online.
Or on Ebay
  • V-Trec brake+clutch lever £82.60 set (from Germany)
  • Rezo Adjustable CNC Clutch & Brake Levers £42.95 set

Thanks

Standing up on rough ground I use two fingers on the levers and with the standard levers I can't pull them back far enough because the other fingers are in the way. If I adjust the reach of the standard levers so I don’t need to bring them all the way back then the reach is too long for normal riding. So I thought short adjustable levers might be the answer, but I’m open to suggestions!

I have the Wunderlich VarioLevers and they are the business, plus adjustable so if you like a longer lever for road use all good. p.s. I might be up for selling them soon as plan to sell the bike:D

Thanks for the recommendation Frankh. I need them for a Morocco trip end of April so unless you are selling yours soon I think new Wunderlich levers are out of my price range.

Beat me to it there Miff! Have a good look on ebay there are a few sellers and to be honest I don't know if they are all that different. I had a set of standard length levers for my fireblade from a seller on ebay and they were really good I think they cost me £33 including del ! You could get three set for the price of one soooo should you have a mishap simpley slap another set on!:D
edit thing about these levers is that they are made from good material and do look good just like Pazzo and they don't claim to be them! ie they are copies but they are not tying to pass them of as the real thing.. no point really these have good CNC machines and thats all you need Pazzo are a rip off at the price!!

If your worried about cheapo knock off brake levers (and it's understandable), then buy an expensive brake, and a cheapo clutch lever...

Tapped in via my telephonic device, cos I'm a hip, trendy, modern kinda guy...

To be honest I don't think the quality of the metal they use for these levers is really questionable, in as much as the real cost is in the CNC machine that they bought to make them. That together with the realatively cheap labour cost amakes them ultra competative vs Pazzo. Like for like the real cost in the Pazzo lever is the labour cost and hmm.. exclusivity?

Have China ones and am happy with them and the milling quality is brilliant

Easy to adjust easy to fit and tbh a product you pull on with two fingers will not brake that easily. ....

On top they eliminate the following on the hand guards after a drop:eek: or a branch on a green Lane:blast

I'm a fan of Pazzo levers. I took mine off my K1300 before I traded it in and they're going straight on the GS.

I have fat fingers and don't have this problem when riding off road and in the knarly stuff.

Brake lever hardly needs to be pulled anywhere near all the way.

Clutch lever can be pulled in far enough for a clean gear change.

I reckon you just need more time on the bike getting used to it.

Or are your fingers really short and fat?

Good find, there are certainly some cheep ones from Hong Kong on eBay! They could well be made with the same materials and in the same factory as the branded versions but personally I'm not happy trusting a £10 front lever with, without being overly dramatic, my life.

The thing to remember here is that names like Wunderlich are charging a healthy premium for their name. It is highly probable that the levers they sell are as you suggest, manufactured in the same factory. There is also a high probability that they are virtually identical to other levers from that factory.
I could ask for these levers to be made for me, just as Wunderlich do, and offer them over for perhaps £18.99, if I asked for a bulk purchase, but you wouldn't buy them from me because my name means nothing. So, there you go, a massive mark up for exactly the same product. Add a description like *'Racing'* and they will be highly desirable.

Oh and I could have them made from the same material spec as per those in Miffs link - Machined Billet 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy .

It is also highly probable that at least 90% of all levers are manufactured in Honk Kong regardless of whose name is stamped/engraved on the levers.

*This is not to suggest that Pazzo don't manufacture their own levers on home soil.*
