Can you suggest summer rain gloves that are highly protective yet easy to fit under cuffs?

And what is BMW’s gloves range like? Any good?

Laminated waterproofing (e.g. Gore Grip) and a visor wipe are essential. Ideally, I’d prefer leather over textile gloves.

Look at Held 2 in 1, the same with the BMW badge. Some people love them, I personally can’t get the right fit. They come in a short or long cuff. Mixtures of textile and leather.
I still use a 14 year old Held Phantom GP Gortex gloves which are basically sports gloves with a gore lining.
However in hot weather I don’t recommend them, even with the perforated leather there is not much air flow. I only take the gloves when touring as a back up if I get caught in rain.
I don’t know of any brand who does leather only gore summer gloves. Rukka did something similar to my Phantom.

I find these fantastic.

Have been using the brand for quite a few years now.....probably have about 5 pairs of their gloves.....including these ones.

Thanks—the Five X-Rider looks very promising indeed.

Do they have a visor wiper? I’m curious how well Five’s “Clear Vision Pad” works compared to a rubber visor wiper.

They don't have a traditional rubber strip but the left index finger has like a chamois type material designed to wipe the visor.

Very high spec glove for the money.

I couldn't comment on how well it works for wiping the visor........I don't wipe my visors while I'm riding.

Polish the visor with a hydrophobic coating before every ride keeps me happy.

Frustratingly, they look out of stock in the UK, and I’m uncertain about European retailers’ return policies.

Where did you buy your Five gloves?
I normally get them from..

Sportsbikeshop.co.uk

or I'll find random French online stores.

Do a Google search for them and include "France" in the search.
They are normally priced very competitively.....they are a French brand.

Good luck in your search

Thanks. I didn’t want to use Motocard in case I had to return the gloves. However, it’s Hobson’s choice 🙂

My tactic these days in the summer is a pair of Klim Badlands Aero which are very cool to wear in the heat with plenty of protection for a lightweight summer glove if it rains ( particularly in Spain etc) I just let them and my hands get wet as they all soon dry out and usually it is hot enough not to get concerned
If the rain is persistent then I have a pair of Rukka Virium which are superbly waterproof and yet no real thermal properties just good waterproof gloves

Thanks. While those specific gloves look too warm because of the thermal lining, how good is their stitching? I feel uncertain about the reliability of Rev’it stitching. But am I wrong? How well has your gloves’ stitching held up? Any fraying or loose threads?
No issues with them at all. Mate of mine treats his stuff like shite and has a pair that are still holding up after 3 years of abuse.
