Short Trip Into The Peaks On Saturday (Pics & Vid)

Rode up to the Peaks on Saturday, meeting a friend in Nottingham en-route. I was going to make a weekend of it, but due to some sad news before i left, we just did the saturday and i headed home first thing Sunday. Got up to Bakewell, to Dale Farm campsite for about 2pm. Unfortunately we were supposed to be in the 'upper field' which, with the rain all night and morning was out of the question, so ended up camping in a motorhome spot, which was nice and flat! Got the bikes unloaded and camp set up, and headed off to find some lanes about 3:00pm. fellow tosser MickDB1 was really helpful and sent me some waypoints for the Garmin, so followed those to begin with (was unable to make a route in time). Although only about 3 hours worth of messing about, we had a great time, the lanes were ace and i dropped the GSA a couple of times, but had a right laugh and enjoyed a camp fire, booze and meat after wards. Bit chilly that night though

I look forward to making a weekend of it at some point this summer.

Great video sir.
I didnt send you down "Green Lane" as you told me you were after easy routes. So on a big bike Well done and if I had realized you would have coped with that lane I could have really made you a good route up.
