It's time to replace my 20 year old Hein Gericke gear .... but I'm struggling to find trousers to fit. I like the RST range, but they only do trousers in a standard length - it would be fair to say my waistline:leg-length ratio is slightly off as I'm short in the leg and not so short in the waist.

Does anyone make decent trousers in a short leg length?

Have a look at JTS biker clothing, plenty of size options in many styles

Held, BMW, Rev-it and many others do short leg lengths. I am sure there will be plenty more suggestion shortly.

Thanks, Rukka and BMW are out of my price range, but RevIt looks good.

RST Make short leg in their trousers, but only in certain models. which ones were you looking at?

Kind Regards
Jamie

Have a look at Rev'it Horizon 2 pants.....they are great value.

Level 2 armour and laminate membrane.

Thanks, I'm liking the look of Rev'it kit, probably going that way I think

Revits "short" leg is 32" inside leg still, they won't be any good for those that are ACTUALLY short.

Revit Short: 32"
Revit Regular 34"
Revit Long 36"

held end up expensive as the trousers seem to be sold without the thermal or waterproof inner. So although they are great, the total cost is around the same as other brands that include it all.

Can you please send the link to the webpage where Held market waterproof trousers without the appropriate waterproof liner?

I bought a pair of Held Arese trousers which I am pleased with. Waterproof and thermal liner were included.

Hi. Look nice. Are the Arese a pro shell/ laminated trouser? or textile with a removable liner and thermal liner? Does the crotch leak?

Hi Adventuredon, I am using the Arese as commuter trousers, rather than for touring . They are non-laminated waterproof trousers with a removable thermal liner. I have used them in rain but not in a torrential downpour, and so far no leaky crotch.

They were very much an impulse buy at the bargain price of £50 :okay.

If you are looking for an all-year round trouser, you should probably hold out for a laminated type.

The Held trousers you linked to were the equivalent of the BMW Airflow or Rukka Airforce, which are also summer trousers with no waterproof membrane or thermal liner.

These worked for me being 28 inside leg with a 30 waist together with the Paragon jacket is for me a good reasonably priced suit, apart from the lime green mesh in the vents, but im happy with it.

doesn't get a glowing review from 1 rider. Can you confirm anything different?https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_rev/365588#itemReview_107977

Having recently gotten the news that my 6 year old Rukka jacket is going to be replaced with a brand new one (newer equivalent even better) due to leakage at cuffs and elbows. Thank you very much Gore Tex. So I am now probably a bigger Gore Tex convert. My Halvarrsons Prince trousers are no longer up to the job after 6 years so a bit disappointed at them as an investment! So Istraying towards buying more gore tex gear

Richa. They do a range from cheap and nasty, through decent for the money, right up to "and why do you wish to remortgage your house, sir?"

You'll hardly ever get 100% glowing reviews for any piece of kit but RST's stuff is middle of the road to pretty good. What lets it down are things like poor stitching on some garments. If you want to better the Paragon for not a lot more money then the Adventure Pro series 3 suit (trousers can be bought separately) takes some beating...in fact there's nothing I can see which matches it at the price. I have one of these suits and a Halvardssons Prime Jacket. The RST Pro Adventure 3 is better armoured (one of the best around in that department) and better vented but the Halvardssons is far better quality and more comfortable to wear.
