Having recently gotten the news that my 6 year old Rukka jacket is going to be replaced with a brand new one (newer equivalent even better) due to leakage at cuffs and elbows. Thank you very much Gore Tex. So I am now probably a bigger Gore Tex convert. My Halvarrsons Prince trousers are no longer up to the job after 6 years so a bit disappointed at them as an investment! So Istraying towards buying more gore tex gear

I can slightly agree with him , but as with all the mid range gear(inc tents/rucksacks etc) i buy i treat it to a good dose of Nickwax just as a further precaution,Most mid range stuff is water repellent not 100%water proof,I would love to be able to afford and to justify the Rukka /Stadler gear, But ive had some ARMR suits from Sportsbikeshop which i was really surprised by hard wearing and a good fit, so i suppose its a case of do your research and hope for the best.
