Hi all,

I've had a search on the forums, but there seems to be a lot of people with very different views out there on this...

I've acquired a set of TT pannier frames and the rear indicators foul the frames when mounted so I need to shorten the stalks.
I have seen the Metal Mule kit which looks ideal, but the postage cost of £7.50 for an item that's no bigger than this <-------------------------------> seems to be a lot!

Does anyone have any other ideas of what I can do?

Cheers,

Rob

Nah, Verns kit is lovely stainless steel. Quality costs, but the results pay

I fitted the stems from front indicators on mine

I think they were the 1100 ones I had to use but got the idea from on here somewhere so might be worth a search

I did mine for free and still have the old ones for if I ever need to put them back on.

I just cut the head off an m12 bolt and ran the wires through the drain hole at the bottom. :thumby:

The lens cap has a small retainer clamp to hold it onto the bolt.

Job done.

I love penny-tech solutions.

Must be a different Vern to the miserable c@nt that I know :D

I'm with you flip... Perhaps Kenny was over helping himself to some stainless and answered the phone. I've had this happen before and found that Kenny's prices were much better than Verns!

Thanks Vern!

Thanks Vern, all fitted and looking great!

Simplicity is beauty. Worth every penny. An absolute bargain at £15 posted.

Original part at the top, Vern's custom stalk at the bottom.

What.... Kenny sold me the same thing for 20 quid... and then told me he was cheaper than Vern as he was just stealing them out of the drawer. I should have known!

Is there a link to see these items or is it just a case of PMing said bloke :nenau

I had my shaft (ooer) in the vice earlier and hacksaw in hand but decided to hang back in case that I had a reason to re-fit as standard length in future..

No links per se... just give him a call or an email. Photos of item is above or find any photo of a bike with his WOrldbeater panniers.
