On Re-Writable dvd discs i notice that you can have - or +.

This i understand as it has to be compatable to your DVD.

But when it says X2 or X4 or X8 is that how many times you can re-write them? I am presuming it is but thought i would run it by the boffs here first.

If so which are the best for a - dvd? What ones are value for money in the way of amount for what you get pricewise etc.

My Dad wants to know but he has not got a GS but he did once own a Vincent Black Shadow!

its the speed at which they can be written. The larger the number the quicker it is to burn the disk...

You have to have the same number on yer burner as the disk for it to make a difference.

Ie no point buying x8 if your burner is a X4

RITEK discs are the best by general concensus. buy discs here

Try http://www.afterdawn.com/ for any info on dvd and try http://www.svp.co.uk/ for your dvd media.
The 2x, 4x, 8x refers to the speed that the disks can be written to. My dvd burner is a 4x so I buy disks which have a 4x speed. I could buy 8x but they will only be written at 4x.
I only buy disks that have the RITEK G04 dye. I've never had 1 fail on me.
