Should I be disappointed in these brakes ?

via a link to this site I ordered a new set of ferodo sintered brake pads for my 1150, they arrived today, but they were DP sintered pads, not what I was expecting, I am not familiar with this brand and I have now fitted them and seem fine, however am I being unreasonable in thinking that I have paid for something that I didn't order and have I been sold something inferior, your comments please?
 
you're worrying too much.

If you paid for Ferodo... and received DP. then you got yourself a bargain. I'm assuming that the seller was out of stock on the ferodo and rather than keep you waiting sent out the DPs

That is the kind of customer service I for one really appreciate.

For my part.. if i order something and the unexpected arrives without explanation... I would immediately ring the seller to clarify if this was a mistake. (or not)

In your case you have been sent the higher priced of the two. DPs are more expensive than Feroda.

If my memory serves. I'm sure its been mentioned on this forum that DPs offer an outstanding balance of braking power over disk wear. Though the brand isn't commonly available.

DP Pads

Well thank you for that response, that's comforting to know, I was concerned but a I had fitted them I was not in much of a position to do much about it. That has given me assurance, I would however had assumed that they would have emailed or telephoned me and given me the choice, but I accept what you say and will stop feeling had over. Cheers.:D

Whoa, hold on a minute.- Are you Mr Ross ?

If so you you have a choice between ferodo or DP pads and you specifically ordered and PAID FOR DP pads, caliper pad type 639 which are £2 a set more expensive than ferodo pads. It's not something you can do accidentlly, you have to specifically click your choice of pad.

I wouldn't have sent you the more expensive item if you'd had paid for the cheaper ones. :D

Hi, Yes I am the same, If that is the case then please accept my sincere apologies, and thank you for putting things right, obviously need to check my specs, any goods received in good time and i am a happy sole. Cheers:thumb
