Use regular unleaded and the ECU will retard the ignition a bit to overcome any knock and you'll get a bit less power.

I know better than to believe everything that I read, but the owners manual for the 2013 gs recommends using super unleaded fuel. Do any of you guys believe it will make that much difference? I've had my shiny new gs for a month and it's fantastic. Can't believe moving from the standard stuff will make that much difference.

It would appear some of the veterans didnt actually read the sentence.....the sentence makes no sense!

You'll find that in Germany 95 is known as super.
i have always run mine on the 95 ron stuff,the other day i filled it up with the shell optimax ,i dont know what ron the optimax is though,but i can tell the difference ,it pulls better and ticks over smoother without dought.
