There's absolutely no middle ground with the GS or GSA, either you think it's the best thing since sliced bread or you hate it.
It's not perfect by any means, but usually the positives vastly outweight the negatives.
- To me, no other bike feels as planted and comfy to ride.
- You have all the power you'll ever need in a real world scenario.
- It'll take you, your pillion, your luggage without even caring.
- You can tour to your hearts content but it'll also be sporty when you want it.
- You have all the accessories known to mankind to make it yours
- Some folks complain about reliability and yet it's very common to find them with hundreds of thousands miles and still going strong.
Just my personal opinion.

almost.......more and more coming on line from Ali Express or Temu but I am still trying to find a half decent sticker kit for the 1300 GSA luggage.... my Alishite ones are already starting to peel off.....

any decent graphic designer company will make you quality ones with whatever you can think of really... it'll definitely wont be ali express prices though
Thanks, Yes, I know. Mark Anstey offered to make me just plain black decals for £340 which is ridiculous. I would like a decent set of say world map graphics for around £150 for a full set
So I've managed to get my insurance costs down to a reasonable level I'm happy with (basically the excess is where it should be) and got a deal arranged on a very nicely specced 2024 BMW R1300 GS TE Triple Black with a decent part ex deal against my bike. I have been offered a very good deal on a 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4S Travel & Radar package but it just doesn't make sense to buy it as the extra costs are massive over the BMW tbh...
Going to the dealers tomorrow and hopefully get a test ride on the proposed new BMW bike to make sure its all good...

Did you consider going with the insurance that has the higher excess and simply purchasing excess cover insurance? Just did a quote and an excess of up to £1500 can be covered for a one off payment of £49. That includes the total of compulsory plus voluntary excess.
