Show us yer Triple Black GSA!!!

It is the BMW screen and winglets.
Nutty's fault, looking at his pics of his last week !

Picking my GSA TB up mid October. Looking to fit my current Black Givi Outback Trekker panniers along with dark screen and Black Akrapovic.

Now should I leave them Oranges on those folks??:)

Got mine today having ridden in with my K16GT in order to swap.

20 miles on the clock, first thoughts:

- it is very light on its feet and chuckable which is perhaps natural as my muscle memory is tuned to the K16. But even, it feels much more supermoto-esque vs my faded memory of 2010 and my last GS, an 05 model.

- engine is smoother with a throatier exhaust note than I expected.

- it also has less torque than I expected, perhaps again because of muscle memory from the K16. Sitting at 2k rpm 4th gear, trying to pick up a handful and get past a couple of cars (as done on. K16) and nothing much happens. Then slowly at 4k, ooof it takes off. I guess it needs a mental reset towards the useful range that seems higher set than older boxers. Again from faded memories...

-love the gear shift assist.

-love its suspension. Cruising through stuff that you d have to really be careful on a K16.

- feels very well made. Gone are the lousy welds and rough sandpaper engine surfaces that I have seen on the first editions of 2013/14. I ve only had it for 3hrs though. Let's see.

Just picked mine up today as well. :thumby:
First gear no more klunk, neutral a breeze to select, rides better than my last one :cool:

Chuffed for you, hope the bike is all you hoped for.
Just curious is the clunk still non existent when the engine is warm, as in my experience they all tend to snick smoothly into first gear when the engine is first started/cold, perhaps the mods BM have made have eradicated this
annoying noise/clunk forever, shame they couldn't have done it before now.
cheers

ride safe

Has anyone with a Triple Black GSA fitted tank protection film yet? I had some on my last GSA, but not this one, yet. Putting film over the decals may be tricky.

I've put film over raised decals several times, and I've just done the raised decals on the Ktm flanks just pre-warm the film up with an air dryer and apply as normal working around the edges of the decals .

Surely as soon as you spray soapy water on it, it'll cool straight back down quickly?

No because the film absorbs the heat and becomes more workable also the adhesive is more effective, soapy water will not make any difference also I use tempered water.
