As BMW closes its Motorrad shop in Shrewsbury, the Honda dealer is moving to a larger place. The current place was a bit cramped when I visited a while ago to kick some tyres whilst my car was serviced.
" Shrewsbury Honda Centre has been allowed to turn the old Howden's kitchen shop in Lancaster Road into a motorcycle showroom as part of its expansion plans"
No date but they are going to need to spend a lot on the premises by the look of it. Streetview shows it has been empty for 5 years.

Lancaster Road AKA The Bronx.
I hope they up their security there.

Royal Enfield Stoke are looking to relocate to Shrewsbury allegedly.

Honda will soon be moving out to bigger premises after being there 30 years, would make the perfect place for a Royal Enfield dealership.

I missed this earlier Wessie.
The dealership was cramped, but probably affordable. That new place is massive. Only other comment is for them to get some descent staff - a bit grumpy.

part of Moto GB the UK importer of many Indian and Chinese brands. They also sell Moto Guzzi, which would be handy of they bring all their brands there.
They sound like a similar company to the one that took over Colin Appleyards in keighley, Yorkshire. They now have Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, Norden and a number of Chinese makes.

same outfit

they are buying up vacant premises as independents retire or go bust. I think they have taken over at least one of the ex Pidcocks places and one in N.Wales.

one hopes their rapid expansion does not turn into another Carnells or Motorcycle City

their advantage is being the importer of multiple brands but who is to say they will keep that gig as the Asian makers will happily throw them under a bus if there is more profit with another outfit.

these are the dealers they supply https://www.motogb.co.uk/dealers
just look at all those pins on the map
