Absolutely, the Irish white trout angler's bible. I've fished most of the Connemara loughs in the book, Costelloe and Fermoyle are (were?) great but my fave is Delphi. I met the old codger there way back in the Sixties, he was well-stricken in years by then but still a civil old gent who had a kind word for a know-it-all teenager
I love his fly patterns, he was very analytical in his approach, 'specially with the Bumbles series. I'll be tying some of them at the Irish Fly Fair in Galway in a couple of weeks, drop by if you're interested or if you wanta yarn about K-M or the book
Really great flydressers attending, some of those Dutch guys are incredible and one or two of the English and Scottish fellas aren't bad either Mind you, there's the cream of the Irish lads there as well
My bio here, stop by and say hello if you're attending
It was a great show Josey, attendance around 5000 over the two days. I was worked off me feet but sure that's what it was all about. Makes a nice change for a big event to be in the West for once instead of Dublin and the Midlands. Looks like it's a runner again for next year too
