Sid’s and Gedinne

Can you imagine the carnage if someone tried to do something like that in the UK?

I have no interest in ever going to something like that but really admire that it happens. :thumb2
It’s nice to see people relaxed and enjoying themselves.

They do them in alternating villages throughout the summer. My brother lives in Cazals not that far from there and they had there’s mid July when I was there.

It’s interesting in, as much as anything else, it’s a cultural thing, maybe dating back centuries.

Lots of French villages and towns host them, just as they quite often close off a road or two whilst a village hosts a bicycle race, a ‘sports day’, clay pigeon shoot, junk sale or whatever. They are sometimes used to raise money for a local cause or charity or, just to ‘Have a good time’.

Go along, have a look; maybe chat to a local in Franglais. I spoke with a couple, when I went for a wander about. I guess we just about understood each other. Even if we didn’t, nobody died.

It's Barlow carnival this weekend for us; a busy time with plenty of jolly and fun; it will be a different vibe to what wappers has been showing due to the fairground in one of the fields.

You should have dropped in for a beer, we are in Cazals as well, small world 😄
Wow, there can’t be too many with a Northern Ireland accent about there. He lives at the end of the lane opposite the lake.

I had a pizza in the town whilst they played drums about 3ft from me.

Your pretty much pitched where I was last year. The local village celebrations are very enjoyable, I treated myself to a fillet steak for €12! one evening. In case you are wondering you can walk around Ann and Sid’s lake, but you will most likely need to wash your boots on your return. Have you considered an evening of LRC?
Regards to you and please give my best to Ann and Sid.

There’s an aire right in the middle by the river thing.
