Side Panel Repair Clips

Folks,

Having to repair the lugs on both panels on the R80ST. The current panels have some small metal reinforcement clips attached to them.

Does anyone know if these are still available?

Are you sure those clips are an original part?

Your G/S does not have them?

I cannot find them listed in the parts list:

If the lugs need repair your painter did a good job on my G/S

Common problem with ST side panels.

Ham fisted owners 'ripping' the panels off.

No such thing as a repair clip that you can purchase....you have to make your own.

Here is a picture of a typical repaired clip that I made from aluminium for my panels. Also slid a piece of rubber tube over the pegs on the R/H side that the clip pushes onto.

Been good for a few years now.

(Sorry for the quality of the picture, but its good enough to see what you will have to do).

OK sorry for the delay in posting. This is a picture of the clips. Apparently many years ago you could buy a pack of these clips to repair your damaged panels.

I could probably save a few of these....as always it’s the left panel that is more important as you can still buy pattern right panels as these are the same as the G/S.

Someone with a 3D printer could make them quite easily
