Trophy model with standard grab rails and all fittings for BMW panniers and box. What’s the best solution for alloy side cases that either fit with:-
Standard fittings that come with bike.
Or
Side frames and Boxes ( Touratech type) that also fit to existing mounts etc.

Hope this makes sense.

BMW boxes work well on the bike and the bike looks really clean with them off - but you cant fit a toolbox to carry locks etc and i dont fancy the chances of the alloy mounting bracket surviving a drop!

scafolding works well and has been tested over many years :-)

I had Bumots on my 1250GS and they were excellent. Better than the BMW boxes (free offer) on my 1300GSA.

The BMW boxes look fine, but they are very wide and shallow. They have a silly wide plastic lip, that makes it frustrating to get full inner bags out at the end of the day.

I’ve been very pleased with Lone Rider motobags mounted to Apduro rackless plates. Lovely panniers and no frame once they're off the bike. I went with the 31 litre narrower bags and they've been plenty big enough.

I love Apduro, fits perfectly fine on the original mounting brackets you can match the key and great quality:

Bought a set after much deliberation. Just not keen on the Touratech scaffolding anymore.
Apduro all the way.
