I'm looking for a nice side stand foot pad, the Wunderlich part no. 27380-100 looks like a beautiful bit of kit, but it's getting on towards £38.00 with post.

Has anyone seen anything as good for less dosh.

If not I'll go for it!

I got the Hornig one with the height extender, a little more, but it lifts the bike a fair bit more than the Wunderlich one. Worth it for a short ar** like me.

I am thinking the same thing! In my mind it looks the best just seems expensive:nenau

Never bothered with one before so not sure I need it:confused:

Warning: Stupid Question.

Am I right in assuming the main benefit of these things is for use on soft ground?

Does the term ground not cover tarmac?

:nenau

I suggest either a pole or a 5 page debate.

You don't think of tarmac when you say soft ground:rolleyes:

I have had trouble before with my side stand sinking into what looked like hard tarmac on a hot day, so would this help:confused:

I have the Touratech one, and can recommend it:thumb:hide:D

Exactly!

Mine was sinking into the tarmac last week, I know it was hot, but I also wanted to park it on the grass verge the other day, but was wary about coming back to a bike laid on it's side.
I have got one of those Oxford stand gizmos which is a bit fiddly and takes up valuable space under the voluminous area under the rear seat.
The thicker foot also lifts the bike a little more vertical which should enable another short arse to pull it up from off the side stand a bit easier when fully loaded with passenger.

I just want something to fit and forget that looks good and always works!

How about one of our Rugged Roads ones...........at under £30 as well :thumb2

Did you have to drill through the side stand to fit that?

Yes, twice. One at the front where you can see the button head, that's just a clear through hole and from the under side it to the leg for an M5 tapped hole..

I want to make another where there are no visible screws from the top.
