I am a little troubled, like others, with the side stand lug getting in the way when changing up the gears. I don't want to bend it 'cos I am mechanically inept and will break it (it's just my way!). So I was giving it some thought and have found a way to deal with it and thought I would share.

Temporary fix
There is a small rubber captive foot that the stand rests against in the up position. Turn it through 180 degrees and the stand rests on one side of it about half an inch further out.

Another fix
The stand tube is 22.5 mm in diameter. I am going to buy some rubber coolant hose from a motor factor, split it lengthways down one side and wrap it round the stand. Hey presto, problem solved.

I know all the stuff about not having to do this on a new bike:blagblah:blagblah:blagblahbut I thought it might help someone. Works for me.

Ride safe.

Just get some tubing and bend it out of the way.

Ten seconds job done :thumb

I wear size 10 Daytona boots, and have never had an issue with this.:nenau

Me too Nutty. Maybe those who have a problem with this have their gearchange lever set too low and have to hook their boot down further to get under the gear lever?
It's adjustable via the threaded link rod.

I've adjusted mine up slightly, but tbh, it didn't get in the way before I adjusted it. I've also adjusted the seat height, so it's in the low position at the back, and high at the front. Both of these minor adjustments have made the bike more comfortable to ride.:beerjug:

This is what I have done

I noticed that the side stand caught my boot a couple of times in the first week of owning the LC but now I am not even aware of it - think it just took a few rides to adapt to the slight differences between the TC and the LC, it very quickly became a non issue.
