side stand removal

I am new to this forum, but I was hoping someone might help me with what is probably a really simple question. I have an 07 1200 GS and I am trying to remove the side stand to repaint it. Have removed the springs and main bolt, but the stand still wont come off. Have I missed something?

RE: Sidestand removal

After removing the sidestand bolt, there is a bush which fits through the sidestand hole and the frame, this needs to be removed. It will only come out one way, you need to pull it out towards the outside of the bike, ie slightly upwards.

If you look carefully at the bush you will see a small hole in the sidewall, I got mine out by usng a hook in ths hole and pulling it outwards.
