noticed on the new GSA the side stand foot is tiny. Anyone added a larger foot?

I've got my Cameltoe from my 1200GSA ready to go on. Fingers crossed
I originally got a Touratech one which is very good, but did not help with the (in my opinion) excessive lean angle.
So I returned it and instead got a ‘Bigfoot’ which is a handmade extension from a guy called Miguel Paixao in Portugal who makes them to order. He’s on a few of the GS1300 Facebook groups. It a well made piece of kit and really helps with the lean angle. There is also a bolt extension to the rubber stopper so it does’t rub against the centre stand when riding. It took about four weeks to build it and sent it to the UK and it’s not super cheap, but worth it IMO.
Also note that I have the 1300 GSA with adaptive height which has a different length sides stand with different shaped foot. So you’ll need to make sure you get the plate that fits your exact model.

Yes I have the 1300 Adventure with the height adjustment on order. Glad it’s not just me but I also found the lean angle when I test rode the GSA excessive. Maybe you can tell me exactly what you ordered as my guess my model will be identical

He’s active on a lot of Facebook groups (below is R1300 GS & Adventure). All correspondence is done on Facebook messenger, try searching for him there. He’s really helpful.
Also - the side stand part number on my bike with the adaptive height control is 4653 1638616. He wanted to know this.

I've just ordered the bigfoot side stand extender from Miguel, should be with me in about 2 weeks. I've had my bike for a week now and 600 miles done so far and definitely noticed the bike leans over a lot further and being on the short side you really do struggle to get the bike upright unless your on level ground.
same, just got confirmation it will take 2 weeks to dispatch to me!
Got mine a couple of days ago. Does the job well and now the lean angle is way more sensible
I concur ; the lean angle of the new 1300GSA makes this model feel REALLY heavy to upright . Not just me that’s passed that comment then to my dealer , who looked surprised .

Lexiir Parts makes a neat solution to reduce the lean angle, that's machined from solid billet aluminum, featuring a stainless steel top plate

The side stand itself is made from 6082 aluminum to reduce the bike's weight, this side stand extension has features in it to also keep it's weight down but it's machined from the 7075-T6 aerospace alloy, which is 1.5x tougher than the 6082. Just something worth sharing 
Mine arrived this week from Miguel. Looks a nice solid piece of kit!
The small black bolt apparently is to extend the side stand rubber pad. I haven't yet got my bike but is that easy to fit?
Also Miguel recommends blue Loctite to secure the silver bolts securing the foot.

that's very reassuring to know. I always mounted my GSA 1250 by standing on the left peg whilst the bike was on its side stand, stood up and swung my leg over. If the Aluminium one on the new 1300 GSA is that strong should be no issue although with the lowering option I'm hoping it should be a lot easier to just swing my leg over. I followed advice from an experienced GSA off road trainer, on mounting the bike on either side.
i.e as follows:- "For a right side mount".
Right foot on footrest.
Hold onto handlebars with full left lock.
Front brake applied.
Step up onto footrest.
Lean into bike with a forward position into handlebars.
Swing left leg over seat.
Place left foot onto footrest.
Sit and drop right foot to ground pulling bike over to your right side.
Put bike to the upright position, straighten handlebars.
Sit, lower both feet to ground, release front brake, checking it does not roll.
Lift up the side stand, as normal.
Left foot onto ground.
Right foot onto rear brake pedal.
This action is weird to muster, tends to go against the grain of getting onto a bike, but takes off the combined weight of both yourself and the bike off the side stand.
(You should never stop learning.)

Yes, all very simple.
For the rubber stopper, I very gently prised it off with pliers, then screwed in the extension and popped it back on. It does prevent the Bigfoot from hitting the side stand.
I think the original lean is too much, with the device it ends up about the same angle as on my R1250 GSA, so manageable.
