I fitted the SW Motech side stand footer and mirror extenders today:

The sidestand footer fits the newest side stand, not the old, original side stand fitted to 2013 models. The mirror extenders do give a better view, less elbows in the mirrors.

To be honest I didn't know that they changed the side stand .. (and it's not brilliant - too long by an inch and definitely has too small a footprint .. ).

I wonder how much the mirrors contribute to the noise and turbulence - they're not exactly aerodynamic (quite bladed and jagged at the back where the wind hits them). I know some peepes that have replaced them with superduke mirrors and claim they give a quieter ride for it ... :nenau

I use a puig deflector with the large kTm screen and don't get any turbulence or wind blast: I've never noticed the mirrors having an effect. Had the bike up to 200kph or so a few times and wild blast / turbulence is fine?

Davey is going to sell me his 1290 SA screen for £50 :thumb2

(nice photo - good depth of field .... !!)

canon 70-200l at 2.8, gives the shallow depth of field.

Giles, the 70-200 f2.8l does make it very easy to blow out the background and isolate the subject. It's an expensive lens but you pay for the 2.8 aperture. An example below:

You can do the same with the X100s. The shallow depth of field is about the Aperture size. The X100s has f2 as it's widest aperture.

Getting close in helps.
