Bought these about a month ago. Great boots with a lot of protective technology in them and very good fitting "engineering". On a side impact I reckon a car bumper would come off worse.

Darn stiff to walk in though. All man-made materials so anyone got any better ideas than I have right now to get some "accelerated wear" in place. And don't say put them out on loan ..............

Basically the same construction and materials as my Flexforce SRS. I found mine were very stiff as well and thought I wouldn't be able to ride in them. I was wrong. I actually found it surprisingly easy to brake and change gear in them.

Having said that, I got them absolutely soaked at one point and then lathered them in Aqueous Nikwax and that softened them up quite nicely.

The other thing that helped was pulling the rubbers out of the GS' footpegs which gives a bit more clearance twixt footpeg and gear lever.

Cheers Schtum !

Yes - agree.

Drenching followed by the aqueous Nikwax. Sounds credible though !

Hi Alex, can you tell me what they are like for changing gear ? I bought a pair of Alpinestars Tech 10s and although i adjusted the gear lever to the max i still found it hard to change gear, they are now on ebay and im looking at a pair of these but didnt want to make the same mistake twice. :nenau
