Please can anyone tell me if they have firtted the SM5 SignalMINDER and if so did it work ok.
I have got a 2004 R1150GS Adventure.
i like the idea of turning the indicators into running lights as i plan to get led indicators soon. it cost's £64.99 for the relay which is alot but it does do alot.

Detailed Description
A replacement for the O.E. indicator relay that can be fitted very quickly and easily.
This Kisan Signal MINDER unit is designed as a plug-in replacement for BMW bikes with dual handlebar mounted turn signal switches where left and right indicator switches are Push-On type.
This replacement relay can operate all four indicators at reduced intensity to enhance your bikes visibility in traffic. This conversion is all done internally without any modifications to the wiring. This optional feature can be enabled or disabled with on the fly.
The SignalMINDER has soft touch configuration. Soft touch configuration allows the timeouts and running light options to be changed on the fly.
There is a choice of three selectable timeouts, which can be activated through hardware switches or soft touch settings. The three timeout settings are 8 seconds, 30 seconds, and 45 seconds.
There's also an input pin for brake switch. If you supply 12 volts from the brake switch of the bike, the counter will suspend until the brakes are released. This feature allows an override for those times when you are waiting at the traffic lights to make a turn and do not want to cancel your turn signals. This feature is OPTIONAL - your choice to connect.
There's also a running light option, which allows you to convert all the turn signals to running lights.
In addition it has 2 other features:
A LANE CHANGER feature - hold the turn signal switch to initiate a quick flash of initial cycle (5 flashes) and a SAME-SIDE CANCEL FEATURE to stop the indicator flashing by activating the same side button to stop flashing - rather than using the awkward Cancel button (which has to be pushed up with your thumb)
SignalMinder has an add-on product known as VectraLight. VectraLight simply plugs into the SignalMinder and inherits all of SignalMinders features. Vectralight is designed to mount under the mirrors, which will make your intentions clear.
