Some expert help required please...

The Motad collectors arrived yesterday (cheers jonnyboy). Trouble is, the stainless steel clamp securing the silencer from the stock collector cannot be budged. I cannot loosen it from around the exhaust pipe (using a hammer, WD40 etc...). The stock collector and silencer pipes also look to be welded together with rust. Is there a magic way of parting them without causing damage?

WD 40 does not free rust.

Soak it well, maybe over night, with something like Plus Gas.

You can try drifting (tapping) it off with a suitable sized piece of wood and and a hammer.

Still stuck? Try heating (carefully, Plus Gas burns) with a small blow torch and re-hit with the drift.

It will come off in the end.
