Just to let you know, should you own an X-country / moto /challenge, that the company below NOW has these in stock but not for long!
No connection aside from being a satisfied customer.

AS3 Performance Parts SKU 24125
and if you need the circlips, they do a bespoke kit for those hoses SKU 10571 (not as yet listed on their site)

Considering the age of most X owners' pipes, it may be an idea to get a set before these disappear. I understand there is limited stock.

(y) but not just see it in time but react to it fast!
p.s you'll need to remove the exhaust header pipe ... mind as you go... :augie
and replace the double ended stud and copper nuts while you're in there- you'll be glad you did one day.

I finally received my coolant hoses on Friday and thought it would be an hours job to replace them with new clips and change the coolant, then I read your post and had a close look at the pipes…..so I take it the pipe behind the exhaust header pipe requires the pipe to be removed? This looks like a pain as my header studs don’t give me the impression that they are removable without a fight!

The central hard horizontal pipe above the rad. is prone to corrosion and nigh impossible to find now.

I'd suggest, as you will have drained your coolant, that it would be a good time to remove it, clean up with sandpaper then Hammerite it for a tough finish or the like.

The tiny S hose on the LHside ove the clutch is behind the exhaust-
IMHO, I do not believe you can remove it and replace it without exhaust removal. [ I haven't tried but looking at it again, I'd say not]
Exhaust removal is ...something else!
Get in touch amigo.

This is turning into a dull monologue Tim...
Anyways, you'd have to have 'Houdini' hands to get in there without removing the exhaust.1000013968.jpg

Thanks for the replies. Just back from celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary hence the non-response!

My coolant pipe at the front was badly corroded and I managed to pick up a used one (but good condition) last year and I had it blasted and powder coated when I had my swing arm done. I’ve decided to postpone the hoses until I take my bike off the road for a couple of months during the winter to do various other jobs (valves/powder coating rear frame/forks seals etc.). I am using the bike daily at the moment so don’t really want the hassle of removing the exhaust then hitting an issue, especially as I have an issue with another vehicle I need to get to the bottom of!

One of my hoses has split, are these a good fit, any issues encountered apart from everything being awkward to get at.
Thanks in advance.

Used, but look to include the front, metal pipe.
